Steenergie Steenwijkerland

Steenwijk
Together for a more sustainable Steenwijkerland, that's what energises you, isn't it?

Steenwijkerland has had mills for centuries. The spider-head mills are even cultural heritage. Mills in the municipality were used to facilitate labour and keep wet land accessible for people and animals. Steenwijkerland has therefore been an energy landscape for centuries.

Mills with respect for surroundings, people and the environment. That forward-thinking spirit of the past is what the Steenergie cooperative wants to continue. Using inexhaustible resources: wind and solar (and possibly other new techniques). A sustainable character for nature, the environment and people.

Cooperative Steenergie wants to be a trailblazer in the transition to an energy-neutral community Steenwijkerland for and by Steenwijkerlanders. A local investment with a local return. See also the website of Stone energy.

LEIS supports the cooperative with project management and communication support.
