Irrevocable environmental permit Solar Park De Hoop

Tuesday, 11 November - Cooperative Steenergie received the permit for the realisation of Zonnepark de Hoop in Blokzijl from Steenwijkerland municipality in September 2024. Shortly afterwards, a number of local residents lodged objections to this permit with the court in Zwolle. Cooperative Steenergie entered into discussions with these local residents. After several constructive talks and some adjustments to the solar farm, the objections were withdrawn and Steenwijkerland municipality issued the irrevocable permit.

Next stages

Cooperative Steenergie has now started the design phase. In it, they examine how the solar farm can best fit into the landscape. Think about layout of the panels, cable routes and nature measures. When the design is sufficiently developed, they will start the contract phase, the financing phase, the preparatory phase and the phase Start of construction so that Solar Park de Hoop can be commissioned in the first months of 2027.

Participation

During this process, the environment will be kept well informed. Cooperatie Steenergie is open to questions and concerns. They inform local residents and other interested parties via meetings and digital newsletters. Options for participation, such as financial participation or an environment fund, are also explained.
