On Wednesday 6 March 2024, residents and landowners of the search area, partly in the municipality of Zwartewaterland and partly in the municipality of Zwolle, signed a deed at the notary. With this, the energy cooperative DuurSaamBuurtWint UA officially become a reality. The board of the cooperative consists of Miranda Peer, Bauke ten Klooster and Bart Last. LEIS supports this initiative.
Significant steps have been taken in recent months. The cooperative has been successfully established, more than 55 members have been recruited and several meetings have taken place closely involving residents and landowners. LEIS is providing support in drafting land agreements, organising information evenings and offering assistance in drafting and submitting a request in principle to the Province of Overijssel.
Extensive research is currently being carried out on the spatial and landscape integration of wind turbines in the cluster area. This research is crucial to ensure that the wind turbines are integrated responsibly into the landscape.
At LEIS, we remain committed to supporting and developing local energy projects. Together with DuurSaamBuurtWint UA, we are working towards a more sustainable and greener future for our communities.
